NDGI Designation is Amended

In August GIPSA made a formal announcement in the Federal Register that the Minnesota Department of Agriculture wished to voluntarily cancel their designation to provide domestic grain inspection and weighing services within the entire state of Minnesota.

There were nine applicants for the geographic area previously delegated to the State of Minnesota.

On November 23, 2005 North Dakota Grain Inspection Service, Inc. received a congratulatory letter from Janet Hart, GIPSA Review Branch Chief. NDGI has been selected for designation as one of the new service providers in the Minnesota area. NDGI is pleased to announce that they will provide service to a swath of 17 counties stretching from East to West through central Minnesota.

As well as the addition of the new service area, the amendment to the designation will also include a provision allowing for official weighing services.
