FGIS Review Branch Completes the First Step of Evaluation

On the 31st of October, the Review Branch of the FGIS Compliance Division completed the first step in its evaluation of North Dakota Grain Inspection Services, Inc. Robert Crouse of the Kansas City Satellite Office and Beverly Cook, an Equipment Specialist at Kansas City spent the last two weeks of the month evaluating the NDGI Fargo location and its satellite offices.

Private agencies that provide services under the United States Grain Standards Act or the Agricultural Marketing Act are regularly evaluated by the FGIS to determine whether they are correctly and uniformly carrying out official procedures, and meeting the criteria for designation.

Crouse and Cook will submit their findings to the Deputy Administrator of the FGIS and follow up activities taken by the field office and official agency are tracked until any noncompliances have been satisfactorily resolved.
